The wonderful Joshua…

Joshua was an amazing boy who, although having Myotubular Myopathy, had a passion for life.

He enjoyed 11 wonderful years and rushed at life head on, giving all his strength to having fun.

Joshua loved Pokemon, Sonic, science, reading and computers, to name but a few.

He spent 7 happy years in mainstream school and made some fantastic friends.

He had a wonderful sense of humour and quite often made people cry with laughter. Joshua loved being and looking silly and would dress up in the craziest of costumes.

His snapdragon wheelchair was so fast that it let him do “handbrake turns” and drifts and he was often the envy of able bodied children.

Please use this site, not to leave messages of condolence, but to share your happy memories of Joshua and your thoughts about his life and pictures.

  1. Haha, you forget just how bonkers Josh was. I remember being at a New Year’s Eve party and he was definately the centre of attention. Whooping Martin’s backside at the pop challenges, that really didn’t go well… being beaten by a child! What a great kid and a credit to the Sevs xxx

  2. the day i stopped being there for you,
was the day i closed my eyes forever.
when i died i went somewere far
and the first thing i did, was write your name
    on every star
so everyone can look up and see,
what a wonderful mum you were to me.

  3. How great to see these pictures. We loved the photo of Joshua in his chef’s outfit and also, the one of him as a white mouse and Joshua in his Sonic the Hedgehog sweatshirt was greatly appreciated at our house! It’s wonderful to see what a full and happy life Joshua lead. We really enjoyed looking at the photos – thank you. x

  4. at st georges school there was a shelter that me and joshua would go in
inside there was lots and lots of tiny spiders i picked one up and put it in joshuas hand, then i got one in my hand
then we would chase all the girls and make them scream. it was really funny because joshua was really fast in his wheelchair and he always caught the girls. we tried not to laugh when miss nicholson told us off, but this did not stop us because the next day we would do it all over again.

  5. Appreciating the commitment you put into your website and in depth information you offer.

It’s good to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same outdated rehashed material.
Wonderful read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding your RSS
    feeds to my Google account.

    • Hi Rocco,

Thank you so much for reading all about my precious Son and for taking the trouble to post a comment.

I hope you have learned what an amazing, funny, clever and inspirational person my Son was, and that you have enjoyed reading about him and getting to know him through his pictures.

      Very best wishes,

      Carol (Joshua’s Mum)
