  1. i remember in reception we always used to call you josh in the wheelchair and when you got your electric wheelchair you always stayed behind after school when the playground was empty speeding around and making skid marks on the floor.

  2. What a complete joy it’s been to really get to know more about who Joshua really was. The photos have made us laugh – especially the one of Joshua as a fat mouse in the school corridor. We only met Joshua twice in person but I know we have talked to you a lot as a family and shared information about MTM and anecdotes about our children over these past years. What struck us, when we first met Joshua and then again just recently (other than seeing he was a really sweet boy with the most amazing eyelashes) was how full of life and spirit he was. You could see that he felt and believed he was a just a normal little boy enjoying a great life. He has clearly had some very happy and fun experiences provided by his amazing mum and dad who have made his life completely normal (despite dealing with a disability). He is a real inspiration and has definitely left his Big Mark on this World, and you must be so very proud of how much Joshua has achieved. We will often visit Joshua’s pages and enjoy remembering him with you. X

  3. Joshua loved dressing up and really, the sillier he looked the more he liked it. One time, school had a day where you had to dress up as a character from a book. He decided on Herbert, the polar bear from Club Penguin. Before he went to school, he had a hospital appointment, but he insisted on geting dressed up first and went to the hospital with a white face and hair, and claws on his fingers and toes. He looked “awesome” and got some fantastic reactions from hospital staff and patients, which he loved because he liked being the centre of attention. I think he made people feel a little bit brighter that day, especially as he was in a wheelchair himself and was just getting on with life. XX

  4. I miss you so much Joshua, whenever I saw you my day would instantly become brighter. I can’t believe that you’ve actually left us. I will never forget your beaming smile, your love of live and the way you never had anything to complain about. I love you Joshua. I wish I could have just one more day with you, you changed my life forever. Thank you. Love Sophie xxxxxx

  5. I certainly looked forward to hearing Joshua’s jokes. It became the topic of conversation when I got home as David would ask ‘what joke has Joshua told you today’. In fact I told Joshua once, that the joke made my dad laugh so much he fell out of bed. Since I told him that, many jokes were always followed by ‘did you tell your dad – did he fall out of bed again’.

My days were always the better for hearing his voice and perhaps a little comment – like the time we were shopping with his mum and I asked him what’s wrong, he replied ‘I hope my mum hurrys up as my bum is aching sat here’ – typical man doesn’t like shopping.

    Always in my heart

  6. Joshua had a wicked sense of humour, I remember quite recently I went to school at lunchtime and he said ” I’m in a really good mood today! ” Later, in the classroom Year 6 were making hand collages which were a bit complicated. I asked Joshua to try to keep his simple as I would have to do most of the drawing. He replied ” I’m in a good mood but not THAT good a mood! ” with his cheeky grin! XX

    • Hi Joshua We have so may memories of you that we can remember which many times made us laugh and sometimes cry. The one that does stick in my mind was when you came to our house with your mum and dad, you would drive right up to the table and ask me for the toy cars we had at our house. We would have ambulance, fire engine police and lots of small cars. This is were we would pretend to be driving and cause a big smash up and have to phone for the police, ambulance and fire engine. We would pretend that some of the cars were wreaked and they would be taken to a garage for repair. I would then ask if anyone was hurt and you always said no. The reason why was because you never thought bad things should happen to anyone, and we always had to have a happy ending. You were such a lovely wonderful boy who hadn’t one bad bone in your body that if you made someone happy you were happy too. We will always love and miss you so much, but we are sure that you will still be making people laugh in heaven, and be loved when you flash your lovely long eyelashes at them.

    • Dear Joshua ,
I can’t believe a year has passed since your last day at St. Georges. We had such a laugh that day especially at lunchtime. I remember teasing you about your SAT results which you had got the day before. I asked if you were in trouble and if your D.S was going to be taken off you. You laughed and said, ” Well , actually I’m going to get two treats ! ” You were so pleased with yourself and of course had every right to be !
      Miss you xxxx
